Path Finder integrates with the macOS Share system so you can send files directly to other apps and services (Mail, Messages, Notes, AirDrop, etc.) without manually attaching or importing them.
Use the Share menu or button
To share a file:
In Path Finder, select the file or files you want to share.
Do one of the following:
Click the Share button in the toolbar (if you’ve added it), or
Right-click and choose Share from the context menu.
Choose the target app or service, for example:
Mail – Create a new email with the file attached
Messages – Send via iMessage
Notes – Add the file into a note
AirDrop – Send to a nearby Apple device
Any other share extensions installed on your Mac
Path Finder passes the selected file(s) to the chosen app just like Finder does.
Common sharing workflows
Examples:
Select the file → Share → Mail → a new message opens with the file attached.
Share design assets or documents with teammates
Select multiple files → Share → Messages or AirDrop.
Save a file into a note
Select the file → Share → Notes → choose the note or create a new one.
Notes and limitations
The list of available share targets comes from macOS and the apps installed on your Mac (Mail, Notes, 3rd-party apps with share extensions, etc.).
Path Finder doesn’t replace the sharing system; it simply uses the standard macOS share sheet from within its own interface.
Using the Share feature in Path Finder lets you keep your file workflow in one place while still taking advantage of all the apps and services macOS can send files to.
