The Cloud Uploader lets you upload files and folders directly from Path Finder to supported cloud services, without first opening a browser or separate client.
Upload files with Cloud Uploader
To upload:
In Path Finder, select the file(s) or folder(s) you want to upload.
Right-click on the selection.
Choose Upload to Cloud… (or similar, depending on your version).
In the Cloud Uploader dialog, select the cloud service and destination path.
Confirm the upload.
You can monitor progress via:
The File Copy Queue (for long uploads), and/or
Status indicators in the Cloud Uploader window (depending on version).
Supported services
Cloud Uploader is designed to work with multiple providers, for example:
Amazon S3
Dropbox
Other services exposed through plugins or your version’s provider list
Available providers may differ between Path Finder versions. The Cloud Uploader dialog will show the services that are currently supported on your system.
Important note: Google Drive support
Native, direct Google Drive integration in Path Finder has been discontinued due to changes in Google’s verification requirements.
That means:
You cannot connect Google Drive directly inside Cloud Uploader anymore.
To use Google Drive with Path Finder:
Install and sign in to the Google Drive for desktop app from Google.
Google Drive will mount as a local volume on your Mac (e.g. in
/Volumesor under your home folder). You can then treat that mounted Google Drive folder like any other folder in Path Finder:
Copy/move files into it
Use Drop Stack, dual-pane, etc.
So: Google Drive works through the local Drive app mount, not as a native Cloud Uploader provider.
Cloud Uploader is most useful when pushing files to cloud storage as part of your regular file operations, without leaving Path Finder.
