I just installed 6.0, and upon opening, I noticed that the window size & position had changed and my color theme was gone, and also completely changed the toolbar icons.

I immediately reverted to 5.8.1, and thankfully everything resumed normally. I installed 6.0 again, and the same thing happened. See the before & after screenshots below.
1st image is 5.8.1.
2nd image is 6.0 as it appears after installation
3rd image is 6.0 expanded to full size.
Notice the toolbar icons in the 1st image vs the 3rd.
I'll continue using 5.8.1 until I can be assured my theme and icon preferences will be applied.

The new app icon is cool, and a welcome improvement!

    To ADMIN:

I goofed again: Please replace the 3rd screenshot in my last post with this one - it's a better comparison.

Somehow your last post is missing. Themes were indeed removed and the toolbar icons now sport the new Finder look. You can customize your toolbar icons as always. I think missing features will be reintroduced if the demand is high enough.
