What to override so that on Tab key the focus is moved to a tab in the other panel?

In Total Commander for Windows it was very easy to switch between two vertical panels: you just press Tab key and you are in the opposite panel. In Path Finder pressing Tab key simply select next file based on file name. Why would I need this? If necessary I can use UP/DOWN arrow keys to navigate between files.

I know about Ctrl+Tab shortcut but this one jumps between two panels + search field which makes you press Ctrl+Tab combination twice in order to jump to the first panel from the second.

So is there a way to jump to another panel or override this key?

There's no way to use the Tab key alone in Path Finder but you can set a single F key in Preferences > Features > Keyboard > View > Select Next Browser.
