change timestamp

I need to be able to change the time and date stamps on files. I know I can do this using Terminal, but I assume that's what the "Touch" function is for. However, "Touch" just changes the date and time to the current time. Plus, if you inadvertently change the timestamp with Touch, there's no way to undo the change and get back to the original timestamp.

Ellen, just select an item, call Window > Modules > Attributes, click on the small arrow to the far right of the title bar and choose Dates/Forks from the drop-down menu.

Remember all modules can also be incorporated in View > Preview or View > Left/Right/Bottom Drawer.

You can also access the Attributes section in File > Get Info.
