Trying to move files from a local computer to a NAS using PF 6 - it appears the file fully copies to the NAS, but does not delete from the source location. I have to manually delete the file.

How are you moving the files, Josh (Move to menu command, drag & drop with modifier key, Cut & Paste...)?

I'm using the CMD modifier on a drag & drop

On a related matter, I miss the "Move Item Here" command from the Finder (Cmd+Alt+V).

How do you get the Move Item Here command?

It's new in Lion. In the Finder, open the Edit menu and press Alt, you'll see that "Paste" changes to "Move Item Here".

It allows you to cut/paste any file that is already in the clipboard.

That way you don't have to worry about whether to copy or cut; always copy, and if you want to cut, simply Cmd+Alt+V instead of Cmd+V in the directory you want to paste into.

Josh, how's the status on this? Please, re-open if you're able to reproduce the error.

I'm on Lion 10.7.2, and I believe I was able to replicate the behaviour on SL 10.6.4 as well.

Guys, what's the status on the "Moving" issue, on the latest v6.0.4?

    Thibaut's Avatar

Not the original issue but the latest version still doesn't support the "Move Item Here" Cmd+Alt+V command.

A ticket to your request has been submitted for review, Thibaut.
I'll close for now so Josh, reopen if you have any news and I will reopen if/when the Move Item Here suggestion ticket is approved/implemented.
