I can not run Path Finder 7.2 with El Capitan. Finder is constantly not responding while Path Finder is running. I get the spinning beachball while on the desktop until I relaunch Finder. It's just a matter of seconds before Finder stops responding again.

Once Path Finder is closed, I have no issues.

Thomas, please read the first paragraph of my post above (no. #88), this thread is about Apple's Finder misbehaving, not Path Finder.

Another application, besides Boxcryptor and Parallels Access, which in combination with Path Finder makes Apple's Finder using a lot of CPU % is DxO Optics. Please use the same workarounds I described in my post above (no. #88).

    Hi all,
i had a similar problem, and it seemed to be connected with Mac OS X Fuse. Installing, uninstalling and reinstalling helped.
    best regards, El Elefante

i just wanted to add that i've filed a support request with Parallels providing the problem description recently provided by CocoaTech support as well as links to this thread.

Parallels support does not seem particularly good (or knowledgable) so far, and so if you are also a parallels access customer currently unable to use your paid Parallels Access subscription, I highly encourage you to register a support request at parallels.com and reference Case ID# 2187210 -- more cases will get this escalated sooner.
