100% CPU utilization after applying 7.2 and El Capitan

After installing EL Capitan and afterwards applying the PF 7.2 Update, the program uses nearly 100% CPU. This behavior I have on two different Mac and I have to shutdown PF...

Same problem here on 3 Macs with 7.2.
Especially in interaction with other software which uses Finder like DxO and Boxcryptor. Also white / grey colour changes in the sidebar.
Pathfinder has a lot of problems with 10.11 (Finder).
You wrote that the software is compatible with El Captain - but you are wrong.
Please invest for future versions into an Apple Developer Account ($99) to test OS betas before releasing to the customers.
    Thank you

I can confirm, if I stop Boxcryptor, the CPU usage is in an "normal" state...

    Same problems here...

Also the "sharedfilelistd" process have i high CPU usage, when Path Finder 7.2 is running. I'm also running Boxcryptor.
I've added the samples of PathFinder, Finder and sharedFileListd

Alright, i can confirm it to. Finder and Path Finder are running together fine, without boxcryptor.

I don't have Boxcryptor but Finder shoots up to over 100% when I run Path Finder. If I quit PF and relaunch Finder, the CPU usage stays low.

Same problem here. The combination of Boxcryptor and Pathfinder increases the heat and the fan speed and Boxcryptor fills the memory (16 GB).

I´m experiencing the same issue. Haven´t really figured out how and what causes the issue but it seems to be a combination for Boxcryptor/PathFinder/Finder.
CPU spikes when I launch all three apps at the same time

    Buzztee's Avatar

Okay. No matter what app runs first, as soon as I start the second CPU usage of finder, PAth finder and sharefilelistd spikes >100%
Starting PF -> everything ok - > then starting Boxcryptor -> CPU spike
Starting BC -> everythink ok -> then starting PF -> CPU spikes again.
When I force kill BC and PF it goes back to normal....

Same here as Buzztee described. Hope there will be a solution soon. Had problems with PF and Boxcryptor half year ago when opening MS Office documents. Pretty tired of that now.

    Hi guys,

nice to close the discussion on the forum but not providing a solution.
I still can not use PF and that hurts much in my daily business.

So could you please tell me about your plans and efforts to fix that.

    Thanks
    Sebastian

I am seeing the same issue, after upgrading to El Capitan, without Boxcryptor which I do not have on my machine. If I run Finder and Pathfinder7.2 together Finder pegs the CPU at 100%. If I then quit Pathfinder, Finder CPU stays at 100%. If I then relaunch Finder without running Pathfinder Finder CPU usage remains low. If I then relaunch Pathfinder, Finder pegs the CPU at 100% again.

Same here. El Capitan and PF 7.2 make system near unusable.
    Finder goes to +100% CPU.
    Finishing Pathfinder ends CPU load.
    System working fine without Pathfinder.

Same here. El Capitan and PF 7.2 (1691) make system near unusable.
Finder goes to +100% CPU. I have also Boxcryptor "2.1.449 (685)" running. Closing the Boxcrpytor restores everything to normal. Running Boxcryptor without Path Finder causes no issue, seems to be an interaction issue with Boxcryptor and Path Finder.

I'm having the same problem just with Path Finder and no Boxcryptor. Path Finder will peg my system and I have to wait until I can get the Force Quit to respond in order to kill it and free up my system.

I have raised a ticket at Boxcryptor - here is the fast response from support-team, after they analyzed my debug logs:
The short translation: There is a bug in 10.11.0 in combination of PathFinder and other programs. It is fixed in the actual beta 10.11.1. Boxcryptor released a verion, which corrects the problem with PathFinder. The final solution will come with OS X 10.11.1....

Same here. PF causes the high processor usage by Finder.
No Boxcryptor installed. DxO Optics Pro is also not starting if the PF running.
