Bluetooth issues (Logitech keyboard)

My Logitech keyboard (MX Keys for Mac) stops responding sporadically, especially after restarting the computer, and specifically when using Path Finder —this doesn't happen with any other application (as a matter of fact I'm using it to write this post)—.
The odd behaviour is as follows:
- when I click on any item in PF's file browser, instead of the entire line changing colour to blue, the name of the item changes to blue inside what looks like a "pill"; - from that point on, the keyboard becomes unresponsive; only the Fn keys keep working. As I said, no other applications are affected. I have tried uninstalling-reinstalling Logitech's software several times, but the issue is not solved.
Thank you.

Here's a screenshot of when the keyboard starts being unresponsive on clicking with the mouse on an item.

    Hi Rafael,

Uli from Path Finder support here!

May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces via AppCleaner

    2. Download the latest version of the app from our site

    3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests

Please note that the uninstallation disregards all preferences you have set on your end. If you’d like to save them, make sure to navigate to the following path and copy both preference file and folder to the safe location.

    ~/Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Path Finder/Settings (folder)

    ~/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/com.cocoatech.PathFinder.plist (list)

Once you re-install your app, replace the new files in the same location, with a previously saved files.

    Best Regards,

    Uli

Thanks for the quick reply, Ali; I was afraid I’d have to reinstall PF too ;)
Just one thing: I used to have a license for PF (version 8: PF8-5bca088c5248e), but am currently using it as part of my SetApp subscription. Since the license must now be outdated, I presume I’ll be able to download PF from the SetApp site, correct?
Again, thank you, and best regards from Spain,
    R.

    Hello again Uli,
Sorry the spellchecker changed your name earlier.
The procedure you described seems to have fixed the keyboard issue.
If it’s OK, I’ll write again if the problem reappears.
Have a great evening, and thank you!

    Good morning, Uli,
Sorry to report that the keyboards strange behaviour in PF reappeared last night, and is happening again as I write this email.
If there is some kind of crash report I can generate, I’ll be happy to send it.
    Have a great day!

    Hi Rafael,

Could you send us a sample (a snapshot) of Path Finder process in a separate file? This will enable us to analyze what happens with the application.

    Here's how to get it:
    1. Open Path Finder and reproduce the problem. If the problem is dynamic (e.g. unexpected action result), please try reproducing it during the sample collection.
    2. Open Activity Monitor from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
    3. Select Path Finder in the process list. To help making a selection, type "Path Finder" in the Filter field.
    4. Click the Sample Process button in the toolbar - this will open a new window entitled "Sample of Path Finder" and a sample of the process is collected.
    5. Click Save and save the sample file.
    6. Close (Command-W) the Sample window opened in step 2.
    7. Send the sample file saved in step 5 to us.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Best Regards,
    Uli

Thank you so much for the clear instructions. Please find the generated file attached (PF has been keyboard-unresponsive since I sent the earlier email).
    Best regards,

    Good morning, Uli,
As I said in my earlier email, the problem with the keyboard has not disappeared. However, I have found something, which might be of interest: the “Esc” key on this model (MX Keys for Mac) has a lock icon (to block fn functions, I presume); if I press this key, the problem with the keyboard freezing under Path Finder ceases. In other words, for some reason the app seems to activate/deactivate this “lock” function (I’m not sure which).
So neither the keyboard or the app are unusable, luckily.
I hope this will help diagnose a potential issue. Thanks very much for the past support, and best regards,
    Rafael
