Favorites Folders Disappear

I am using version Version 10.1.2 (2097).

For the last several days, my favorites folders have disappear in the Sidebar on two different machines. I noticed that others have reported as well and the Cocoatech support response of saving my plist files to the desktop. Example: https://support.cocoatech.com/discussions/problems/190335-pathfinde...

That is a big pain in the butt especially if we are changing the fav folders often. I have been using PF for some time and haven't see this type of buggy behavior before.

This is a big issue. Instead putting the burden on users to save plist files, how about directing us to a more stable version? or pointing to when this will be fixed?

    Hi there,

Mary from Path Finder support here!

I apologize for the inconveniences you’ve had. The issue of loss of Favorites is already reported to our developer, and we’ll make sure to address it in the next releases once our developer fixes the issue.

The following issue is quite hard to rule out a solid way to reproduce the issue and thus, it takes longer time to fix it. Nevertheless, we'll do our best to eradicate this behavior.

I am sorry for the inconvenience once again and thank you for your patience and understanding.

    Best Regards,
    Mary

    Hi there,

Mary from Path Finder support here!

I apologize for the inconveniences you’ve had. The issue of loss of Favorites is already reported to our developer, and we’ll make sure to address it in the next releases.

In the meantime, we would highly suggest saving your modules settings. You can do so by clicking on cogwheel of Sidebar > clicking on Settings drop-down button at the bottom > Save.

Then, copying your preferences folder and the file within it to your Desktop, for example.

    ~/Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Path Finder/Settings (folder) ~/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/com.cocoatech.PathFinder.plist (list)

If the next loss occurs, you would be able to restore it within the following location by copying the folder with the preference file to the corresponding place.

Let me know should you have any other questions!

    Best Regards,
    Mary
