I do not want tag colors to be row background color

If I assign a tag color to an item, in list view, the background color of the entire row becomes the color of the tag, unless the tag is selected. I find this to be quite annoying. I would like the tag color to just be a small circle as it does not Finder's list view. I cannot find any way to change this to look as Finder does. Is there a way?

In the attached screenshot, all of the items are tagged green. The item in the middle with the purple background is selected. That is OK. The other rows are all green. I want only green circles, not the entire rows to be green.
