hi, I several times tried to sync 2 folders, but it doesn't work. All steps shown in the knowledge base are done, and when I click the sync button, the folder sync window disappears and nothing is synced.
What can I do?

    Hi Manfred,

Mary from Path Finder support here!

Have you checked whether the files were synced? After you configure the settings for Folder Sync and proceed to the action there should be no window notifying of the process completion.

Please also clarify your macOS and PF version you use.

    Best Regards,

    Hi,
I'm using High Sierra 10.13.6 and PF 10.0.4 (licence activated).
As I've written: There was nothing synced.
    An example:
Dual pane mode, left folder 857 files, right folder 677 files, no subfolders
I select Commands > Folder sync
A window like picture no. 4 in your knowledge base appears
    I select Update both
Bottom line shows: Added 208, Updated 0, Deleted 0
    I select the Sync button
The window disappears, but nothing has happened (left folder 857 files, right folder 677, all as before)

What's going wrong? Continuing looking for help.

    Best regards,
    Manfred

    Hi Manfred,

That's quite odd, I appreciate the clarification!

Could you send us a sample (a snapshot) of Path Finder process in a separate file? This will enable us to analyze what happens with the application.

    Here's how to get it:
    1. Open Path Finder and reproduce the problem. If the problem is dynamic (e.g. unexpected action result), please try reproducing it during the sample collection.
    2. Open Activity Monitor from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
    3. Select Path Finder in the process list. To help making a selection, type "Path Finder" in the Filter field.
    4. Click the Sample Process button in the toolbar - this will open a new window entitled "Sample of Path Finder" and a sample of the process is collected.
    5. Click Save and save the sample file.
    6. Close (Command-W) the Sample window opened in step 2.
    7. Send the sample file saved in step 5 to us.

Also, a screen recording for further reference would be much appreciated. Make sure to upload it to Dropbox.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Best Regards,
    Mary
