Folders not up to date on PF 10
Hi there
have seen it now several times especially in relation to larger video files. I have a folder called downloads where I store the daily stuff. When editing a Video and saving it there, its not shown often immediately and reload will not fix that. I need to close Command+q PF and restart to get the correct list of files. Yesterday it even wouldn't show a name change on a file without doing that.

Hi Ruben,
Mary from Path Finder support here!
I am sorry for a delayed response. Right now we’re experiencing much higher amount of requests coming up and thus, it takes longer to respond to the queries received.
Could you please share with us a screen recording of such issue? Additionally, please specify your macOS and Path Finder version you use.

can try the recording - Using newest PF version and Latest MacOS
But its happening especially after having suspended the machine and running it again - no created files justo don't show up and only way to get them is command Q and restart PF

First Video - I downloaded Evernote - not shown in PF
I quit PF completely and restart it
Second video - Evernote dmg is shown
Reload did nothing

Hi Ruben,
I am sorry for a delayed response. Right now we’re experiencing much higher amount of requests coming up and thus, it takes longer to respond to the queries received.
Could you send us a sample (a snapshot) of Path Finder process in a separate file? This will enable us to analyze what happens with the application.
Here's how to get it:
1. Open Path Finder and reproduce the problem. If the problem is dynamic (e.g. unexpected action result), please try reproducing it during the sample collection.
2. Open Activity Monitor from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
3. Select Path Finder in the process list. To help making a selection, type "Path Finder" in the Filter field.
4. Click the Sample Process button in the toolbar - this will open a new window entitled "Sample of Path Finder" and a sample of the process is collected.
5. Click Save and save the sample file.
6. Close (Command-W) the Sample window opened in step 2.
7. Send the sample file saved in step 5 to us.
Looking forward to your reply!
Best Regards,
Mary

ok, will do. As it is not always I will need to wait for it to happen again - although its pretty often, especially after coming back from Hibernate
11 Posted by tosbsas on 18 Jan, 2021 11:51 PM
ok, I got it now
Made the steps you asked me to when 1 app and 1 pdf file would not show after having it copied from an external drive to the folder
Than control-q quit PF and after restart both files showed and I made a report again

hi Jamie - would be nice you wouldn't have changed the topic of this post completely. Nothing related to my bug report. Could you please do your own - thanks

anyone? Its amazing how slow support answers. I know you seem to be alone here Mary, but this is not a small problem. Yesterday I downloaded a file in an important meeting, PF didn't show it - had to restart PF to be able to see it. What do I need a file manager for if its not showing files

Hi Ruben,
I am sorry for the delayed response!
May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:
Please note that the uninstallation disregards all preferences you have set on your end. If you’d like to save them, make sure to navigate to the following path and copy both preference file and folder to the safe location.
~/Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Path Finder/Settings (folder) ~/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/com.cocoatech.PathFinder.plist (list)
Once you re-install your app, replace the new files in the same location, with a previously saved files.
In the meantime, I am passing your query to our developer for further investigation.
Best Regards,
Mary

ok did that - we'll see :-))
Finder shows the files inmediatly - so its not a folder permission problem or stuff like that
By the way same issue here

I tried your solution- its not working. After restarting PF its ok for a while but After several times of “Standby” of the machine its back. And reload does Not do anything. Only Solution - quit TF and restart it. A mess
19 Posted by tosbsas on 04 Feb, 2021 08:13 PM
No change in 10.0.2 - this HAS to be fixed. Its a joke a file manager that shows files that are not there anymore o doesn't show the ones that are there.
I believe that there is a problem with reload when coming out of standby the machine. I do see this always after several standby's. With a freshly started PF it doesn't happen.

Here you go
There is a folder called video - I changed it to video 0221 but that change wasn't shown until I did restart PF.

Hi there, any news?
Support Staff 23 Posted by Path Finder Sup... on 15 Feb, 2021 11:14 AM
Hi Ruben,
The case has been escalated to our developer, but it can take some time to investigate this occurrence since it is not reproducible on my end.
Can you please re-install the app and check if the issue persists?
Best Regards,
Mary

did that - persists
Are you saying you don*t see that on your device? I can easily produce it - several standbys and the downloads folder will not show new files or changes on files.
