PF10 issue with rows in dark mode
I mentioned this before on another thread, but here it is again:

Dark mode seems to be really messed up in PF10, at least on Mojave in dual browser mode the right browser background does not turn dark, but the text color and the alternate row colors do. So text is unreadable in icon view, and the list view looks like a zebra.

Updated to v10.0.1. Nothing changed. Still a problem.
Sort it out guys. It looks a mess.
I took a video but can't upload cause it says "entity too large". The video is only 3mb!

My issue with dark mode is fixed with v10.0.1

@Bernhard, glad to hear it.
My issue is in dark mode when viewing folders/files using the list format when you click on the right arrow to reveal the contents of the folder, there is an issue with the alternate row colours. The grey colour flashes to a lighter grey and it just looks messy.
I have checked in Finder and this is not an issue, so it's a Path Finder problem......

I tested this specific behaviour with 10.0.1, and it doesn't happen on my machine.

Hi Paul,
I am sorry for a delayed response. Right now we’re experiencing much higher amount of requests coming up and thus, it takes longer to respond to the queries received.
May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:
1. Delete Path Finder and its traces via AppCleaner
2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests
Please note that the uninstallation disregards all preferences you have set on your end. If you’d like to save them, make sure to navigate to the following path and copy both preference file and folder to the safe location.
~/Users/your_username/Library/Application Support/Path Finder/Settings (folder) ~/Users/your_username/Library/Preferences/com.cocoatech.PathFinder.plist (list)
Once you re-install your app, replace the new files in the same location, with a previously saved files.

Could you please check if you have checked Use system colors on your end under Preferences (Command + ,) > Appearance?

Hi there,
Yes, I have it checked.
If I uncheck it, it goes all white. If I check it, it goes dark (as I’m in dark mode).
I don’t think that option has anything to do with my issue unfortunately.

I appreciate the update!
Can you please then open View Options by clicking Command + J and uncheck Alternate row colors and check it back? Does the issue persist after this? Make sure to set the changes to All Windows by toggle the top button within the popup.

Hi Paul,
Could you send us a sample (a snapshot) of Path Finder process in a separate file? This will enable us to analyze what happens with the application.
Here's how to get it:
1. Open Path Finder and reproduce the problem. If the problem is dynamic (e.g. unexpected action result), please try reproducing it during the sample collection.
2. Open Activity Monitor from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
3. Select Path Finder in the process list. To help making a selection, type "Path Finder" in the Filter field.
4. Click the Sample Process button in the toolbar - this will open a new window entitled "Sample of Path Finder" and a sample of the process is collected.
5. Click Save and save the sample file.
6. Close (Command-W) the Sample window opened in step 2.
7. Send the sample file saved in step 5 to us.

I got quite excited when I saw the notes for Version 10.0.3 (2089) when they mentioned making some corrections when in dark mode and hope this would resolve my problem.

I can't reproduce this issue, no matter how hard I try. But I'm going through all the list view drawing code and trying to figure out what the issue could be. Once I figure it out, I'll fix it and let you know.

Using v10.1 (2095) and this issue (frustratingly) is still there! it looks awful in dark mode!
