Drag and drop but directories open almost immediately

I use PathFinder 9.4 on Mac 10.15.6.

When I drag and drop a file using PathFinder, any directory that the mouse cursor is over opens up immediately to make a drag and drop feature almost useless. I found this Q & A that matches my problem:

https://support.cocoatech.com/discussions/problems/112482-dragdrop-...

I can't use the solution in the Q & A. I turned on/off the spring-loaded-folders, and I made the delay as long as possible, but they don't work. Is there any solution to this problem?

    Hi Samuel,

Sorry to hear that the solution didn't help.

Have you tried making a clean install? If not, may I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:
    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article:
    http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
(The AppCleaner option is highly recommended)  2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests

Let me know how it goes!

    Best Regards,
