Split bottom shelf into two side-by-side boxes

Right now the bottom shelf is divided into two, one above the other, the top assigned to the left panel, and the right assigned to the right panel. I would like them to be side-by-side, each half-shelf below the corresponding panel. It would be good if we had the option of setting their widths to match the widths of the corresponding panels. I saw an earlier discussion of the topic with what seemed to be an unclear answer as to whether this feature was deleted in the current version.

    Hi Michael,

Mary from Path Finder support here!

You can set your modules one by one if you drag one to the side of another. Release the module once you see it is linked side-by-side to the original module. Here is the screenshot that tells you how it should look like:

Obviously what I wrote was unclear. Please look at this screenshot:

I want the two regions marked with ovals to be side by side and linked in size and content to the two side by side finder windows above them.

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for clarification. It works the same way for your case as well.

Make sure to check the short screen recording I have made for your situation, so you can reproduce it and receive the desired outcome: https://streamable.com/rbaxat

As I can see your second module (at the bottom) has hidden header, therefore, make sure to hold Option button and hover your mouse to get hold on its settings like per the screen recording I have sent you.

As for the modules' width, you would need to adjust it manually.

Please feel free to write us back, and we will be happy to assist you.

Unfortunately I can’t reproduce what you show in the video. If I try to click-drag the upper module to the left (with or without modifier), it doesn’t move.

    Hi Michael,

May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:
    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article:
    http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
(The AppCleaner option is highly recommended)  2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests
    4. Reproduce the location of modules as per my previous video.

Let me know how it goes!

    Best Regards,
    Mary

I followed all the instructions, but my preference window isn’t right:

Perhaps not everything was removed by using AppCleaner (although I selected items that were not check by default): After I deleted the app and restarted my machine, PF didn’t ask me for my license

Figured it out: you need to drag a module into the window to get a lower pane. After that dragging as you illustrated worked.
