Pathfinder 9.3.2 (2049) on Mac OS 10.14.6 Doesn't sort its list correctly.

I have four columns. Name, Date Modified, Kind and Size.

As mentioned in a previous report some of the Sizes are "--" because Pathfinder doesn't correctly size all my folders, but right now I see a caret in my "Size" bar to indicate that the entries are sorted by size, and indeed I can't discern any kind of alphabetical sorting from the filenames- it seems random- but neither is there any consistency in the size sorting.

Size entried from the top down:

1.7MB

-- 0 bytes
0 bytes
0 bytes

0 bytes

0 bytes

648 bytes

--

0 bytes

0 bytes
409 bytes
468 bytes

2.5KB

--

3.2KB
4.6KB

etc

If I click "Size^" to reverse sort by size, a slightly less random list appears, with at least some size sorting, but with many exceptions such as

(about 23 things correctly sorted by size decending)

--

2.5GB

55.2MB
20MB
(etc)

I expected a list of directories sorted by size followed by a list of files sorted by size at the least, perhaps interspersed.
