Path Finder 9 is the enemy with macOS Finder? Why don't the favorites communicate with each other?

    Hi there,

Mary from Path Finder support here!

Path Finder is also a file manager like Finder is. Path Finder should have some connection with Finder, however, it is limited as Finder's API is private and not available to developer to adopt in full.

Therefore, in case if you'd like to add or remove some Favorites in Path Finder, you can do it directly in our application. To add folders to Favorites simply drag-and-drop it from the main window into Favorites area.

If you'd like to delete an item from Favorites, make sure to select the item and drag-and-drop it to the main window; it will disappear immediately, however, can be restored later if you reset your Sidebar settings to default.

Please note that once you reset your Sidebar settings, all your unsaved setting setups would be erased, thus, I would highly recommend saving them before restoring everything to default. You can do so by clicking on cogwheel of Sidebar > clicking on Settings drop-down button at the bottom > Save.

Please feel free to write us back, and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Mary
