Show View Options setting doesn't persist across restarts

Sequence: I right click on the desktop, select "Show View Options" ...then I remove the checkbox from "Show Item Info."

When I reboot or logout/login, the "info" line displays again under drive names (e.g., "88.8 GB, 150.3GB free")

What do I need to do to make the setting persist across sessions?

pathfinder: 6.0.0 (1232), Mac OS X 10.7.3

It should work after doing what you've already done. Can you try to trash your preference file and try again? I don't know what could be the reason, but corrupted preferences file.

    Have tried removing this file:

    ~/Library/Preferences/com.cocoatech.PathFinder.plist

but still on my laptop, it never keeps the settings to "show Pathfinder desktop" or "turn off "bold" on folder names" or keep my "off" setting on View Options "Show item info" across a reboot.

I have another machine where it works fine.

That's strange... Does Path Finder remember other settings at all? Are the ones you've mentioned the only problematic one?
