Batch rename (presumably with regex) without changing some elements

I've been stumped trying to make this work and would appreciate some assistance.

I'm trying to rename files that begin with xyz-123 followed by a space to become [xyz-123] followed by a space. Basically, I want to keep the starting letters, hyphen and numbers intact, and add brace brackets on either side. It's important that the search identify filenames that being with the letter in order to exclude those filenames that already begin with an open brace bracket.

I appreciate any guidance you can offer.

Thank you in advance!
