Finder's Remove from Dock not working on Catalina

This discussion was closed today because pathfinder staff said it wasn't possible to do. This is not true. It works for me and I outlined how I got it to work on the ticket:

    Hi Scott,

    Sorry for the inconvenience. 

    The forum is integrated with our CRM system and it automatically closes tickets after each reply.
    Every new reply reopens it, so other users should be able to comment and subscribe to your thread regardless its status. 

    We do not suggest nor support disabling SIP, and since this feature no longer works with SIP enabled these options were removed from Path Finder

    Thanks for the reply.

    Couple of things:

    1. I could not comment on the closed ticket. I tried to do so to reopen
    the ticket. Commenting was disabled on the web interface for that ticket
    once it was closed. So there's no way to reply to re-open the ticket as
    far as I could find.
    2. SIP is *not* disabled on my machine. I also do not support permanently
    disabling SIP. One only has to disable it temporarily while one executes
    the steps outlined. Then re-enable it.
    3. Responding that it's not possible is completely different than saying
    we don't support the option that is possible. The solution is possible.

    I understand the company's position and it's unfortunate that Apple doesn't
    provide a mechanism to allow this automatically. You guys do great work.
