Using Version 9.0.6 (2027) (uhmmm..why does it say Path Finder 8 at the top of this page? ) and frequently use the batch rename function to better organise the files created by my various digital cameras. Batch- renaming them includes adding a sequence number and PF allows me to add a start value. so far so good. When I need to rename the next batch of files, the new start value needs to be one number higher than the highest number from the last batch. Hope you can follow... It would be totally awesome if Path Finder could keep track of that (maybe as a selectable option for each batch rename sequence profile), remember the highest sequence number from a batch rename and then use that value +1 as the start value of the next batch run.
Right now I am keeping track of this number in a small text file, not too hard to do but hey, every little helps.

thank you for listening

    Hi Frank,

    Thank you for the suggestion!

I have forwarded your message to our developers as a feature request for consideration so that it could be implemented in one of our future cycles. Storing the last used number, perhaps as a part of a saved batch rename sequence, sounds interesting.

We appreciate your continued support of Path Finder!
Make sure to let us know should any further questions/ideas arise.

    Best regards,
    Jordan
