Hi,

I could do it before but now I cannot. I know how to assign a module for one of the columns but I would like to have the info sidebar modules, one below the left column and one below the right. Also I had a preview on the left and one on the right but now I cannot find that setting how to do it.

Thanks,
Peter

    Hi Peter,

Could you please share more details? You may add modules from Window -> Modules.

Note that in Path Finder 9 both panes of dual-pane browser share the same bottom shelf.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Hi,

Does it mean that the option of dual panel is not available in Path Finder
9 anymore? I want to have 2 preview modules below the columns each side,
rendered to the given column. One panel at the right, one at the left.

    Hi Peter,

It is available. Add both modules as you normally would, then open each module's settings (gear icon in the bottom left corner of the module window) and assign the right module to the right pane, and the left module to the left pane.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Jordan,

do you reall still do not understand me? I want the modules on the bottom
to be placed on right and left sides, just as the dual columns. I can
assign a preview module to the left panel but it will not be positioned on
the left. It will be in the middle. I want it to be below the left panel
only. As it was possible in the earlier Path Finder versions. In
preferences - Browser, there was a clickable option to show modules in dual
panel mode on each side. but now this is unavailable. I can assign them to
be affected only by the left or right column. But now I cannot position
them to be below the left or right. They are all in the middle below both
    columns.

    Jordan,

Where have you gone? I am waiting for your answer please.

If this option is unavailable please cancel my subscription and tell me how
I can downgrade back to Path Finder 8.

    Thanks
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

    Sorry for the delay!

Could you please clarify which setting do you mean? Could you perhaps attach a screenshot?

Path Finder 8 and 9 have very similar modules structure - did you mean Path Finder 7 per-pane shelves?

If that is what you were looking for, we are actually working on a "divider snap" feature for dual-pane browser. It will allow modules to "snap" and "stick" to the panes divider, moving with it. This way you can have semi-independent module arrangements to the right and to the left of the divider (or under right and under left panes), or similarly for a vertical dual-pane orientation.

Here's the link to PathFinder 8 should you decide to downgrade: https://get.cocoatech.com/PF8.dmg

If you are running macOS Mojave or earlier, you might want to use Path Finder 8.5.4: https://get.cocoatech.com/PF8_5_4.dmg

We also recommend disabling the automatic update checker in Path Finder. Please, quit Path Finder 8, then type in the following command in terminal:
    defaults write com.cocoatech.PathFinder SUEnableAutomaticChecks NO

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.
