Upgrade & Active Pane

I have Path Finder v6.5.4 which I’ve been using with OS 10.11.6. I just got a MacBook Pro running 10.14.6 and tried copying it over, but I couldn’t get it to work. I found on your website v9.0.1 which I installed in trial mode. Is there an upgrade price and, if so, how could it be applied.

Also, please tell me how to make the border of an active dual pane browser window red to distinguish it from the non active window.

Thank you, Robert

    Hi Robert,

Mary from Path Finder support here!

First of all, please accept my apologies for such a delayed response. I understand how frustrating it might be not to receive any response for such a long time. I apologize and will make sure this won’t happen again.

I am here to let you know that unfortunately, we do not provide upgrades to Path Finder 9 license from legacy versions of Path Finder. It is technically only possible to have an upgrade only for those who had a previous version of Path Finder - Path Finder 8 - and want to upgrade further.

At this moment Path Finder releases major version updates every year and therefore, you can upgrade your license every year from the previous version of the license only or use the license and the version of Path Finder you purchased initially forever.

In this case, you would need to purchase your Path Finder 9 license from the scratch on our website or continue using Path Finder 6 forever.

If you proceed to purchase your license, we currently have a promotion of 15% off your Path Finder 9 purchase - simply use STAYPUT discount code while checkout.

As for the dual pane browser, the part of the browser that is active would be lighter when it comes to the path bar and the bottom bar that informs you about the size and the amount of items present.

Should you have anything else you’d like to address, please feel free to write us back, and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Path Finder Support Team
