Smart Sorting does not work with Scrivener files (.scriv)

Hi Cocoatech,

I've noticed in PF6 that smart sorting does not work with Scrivener files. While the smart sorting alphabetizes all folders and files and puts folders above files, my Scrivener files actually appear (albeit alphabetized in their own group) above all the other folders and files.

Would there be a way to include Scrivener files in the smart sorting functionality in the following next PF6 update?

Thanks very much,
Scott

Hi Scott, check your smart sort order in Preferences. Are Packages on top of folders?
If so, please enable Show Package Contents and check if .scriv files are actually package bundles.

    Hi Damazio,

Thanks for the incredibly speedy reply.

Yes, you are right and I missed this. A .scriv file is a package. I hadn't even thought of that. So, smart sorting is working just fine.

    Thanks a bunch,
    Scott
