I can resize the Drop Stack module, by hovering the pointer over the lower
border but NOT by clicking on the arrow at the left in the "body" of the
Drop Stack. Resizing by the "pull down" method does show the dropped
content, and moving the item(s) from the Drop Stack to another location
does work. Once the DS is empty, it automatically reverts to its default
size and can only be resized by the lower border pull-down. I remember that
in previous versions the left arrow click resized DS; that was far more
efficient than the pull-down method.
When the DS is "minimized," that is, not resized, clicking the down arrow
next to the DS logo (in the center) brings a pull-down menu that, when they
are there, includes the name(s) of the files there, along with options to
"remove top" or "remove all," but drag and drop does not work with those
files via the pull-down.
That's the best I can do for now describing what happens. The most
concerning is the inability to quickly resize DS to be able to see what's
there and to work with it.
Dropstack is a bust in PF 9.0 (and also in 9.0.1 and 9.0.2). It used to work, but no longer does. After installing Dropstack module in Sidebar, I can add an item to the Dropstack, open Dropstack, and drag to item anywhere else in PF window. However, when I repeat this operation and add another item to Dropstack, it no longer can be moved anywhere. Dropstack function fails after the first use. The only way I have found to restore its basic function is to delete Dropstack and install the Dropstack Module once again. This means that Dropstack is useless in PF9.
Attached is the sample file.
I found a work around that points to the problem. When I add the first item to Dropstack after installing it in side bar, I can move that item. Once it is moved from Dropstack, the Dropstack returns to its closed state. If I add another item and try to move it by clicking on down arrow in dropstack, it is there, but unmovable. However, if I drag the Dropstack window down to enlarge it so that the item shows, I can then move it. But the Dropstack window automatically closes.
Problem solved by installing Dropstack Module on right side of PF window so that it fills the entire right side bar, rather than on the top of the left sidebar.
I have 9.0.2 and have experienced the Drop Stack not working on the left side pane. I have also confirmed that moving it to the right side pane appears to work, and can be considered as a work-around. This is still a bug with using Drop Stack on the left side.
My work-around is still working for me.
Perhaps the way I installed Dropstack has something to do with it.
1. I closed Dropstack in the left hand window (clicking on "x" in upper right corner of title bar);
2. Opened Modules Window
3. Dragged Dropstack Module to Right side of PF window.
4. It continues to work.
In any case, there is clearly a bug as Drop stack does not work as it should when installed on top of the SideBar Module in Left side of PF window.

Just one question for all of you having this problem with Drop Stack; is your System Preferences setting Show scroll bars: set to Always? If so, can you change it to Automatically based on mouse or trackpad (see attached image) and check if Drop Stack (un)collapsing works as it should?
I changed Scroll Bars ti “Automatically based on mouse or trackpad”, but this had no effect on Drop Stack collapsing or uncollapsing as it should.
If I put Side Bar in Left Shelf and then Drop Stack on top of Side Bar if left shelf, the Drop Stack does not collapse or uncollapse. The arrow on the top of the drop stack closes the Drop Stack Window, but does not open it. The only way I can open the window is to drag the lower border of drop stack down manually. If I put the Side Bar in the Left Shelf and the Drop Stack in the Right Shelf, then the Drop Stack window stays open all of the time and the Arrow at the top always points down and does not respond to any clicks on it.

OK, but do you see scrollbars in Drop Stack? When you "open" Drop Stack by dragging the lower border manually, does it look like in the attached picture scrollbars.png, or no_scrollbars.png? Even better, can you make a snapshot of how your Drop Stack looks after dragging the lower border manually and paste it here?

OK, I've just uploaded a new beta version 9.0.3b2 (build 2018). You can download it directly here, but you can also update your current copy to it automatically, just hold the alt/option key while checking for updates and follow the standard update procedure.
This beta should fix this Drop Stack problem. I'd appreciate if you give it a try and let me know whether it all works fine now. Thanks.
The beta version (9.0.3b2) corrects the Drop Stack problem for me. Installed in the Left Shelf above the Side Bar, Drop Stack now opens automatically when a file is added to it and added file can be moved elsewhere.
Thanks for rapid fix.
