Hi All,

I'm using the latest version (8.6) on my work and home Macs. Although my office Mac is newer, it is noticeably slower than my home Mac. So my question is, are there any Path Finder settings (or macOS hacks) that I can change that will help speed up the app?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Greg,

Which version of macOS are you currently running?

As a general suggestion, please choose a .txt file, open Preview module preferences (gear button next to its header) and uncheck "Colorize syntax".

Also, it may be worth trying to restore defaults for View Settings (cmd+J) - make sure to have "Calculate all sizes" unchecked here.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Path Finder Support Team
