Search. What's the deal?

Simply put. Does the Search / Find (Open-Apple F) option even work? Seems like certain search destinations just respond with nothing. Like it does not even try to start.

Is there a 'secret trick' to get it to work like getting the Disclosure Triangles to work?

..and PF7, I could swear there was a view for IDv3 / MP3 metadata.

Right now, if search actually worked, and the screen update after moving/deleting stuff in List View actually updating real time. That would be nice.

But lets start with Search / Find.

    Hi Tony,

I'm sorry for such a delay!

Although there are updates planned for it, search should work even now. Could you please share more details?

Regarding the disclosure triangles, it does not currently work with "arrange" option set. Try using Arrange by: None in the View Options.

To view the metadata, please try using the Info module or Get Info window.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

The Get Info window is what I was referring to, though even Finder's has the same amount of information. Maybe I'm totally dreaming something.

As for the search functions, you've got two choices of search method, it seems that the first one just does -nothing- I'll get back with more details on that one.
