Missing service "Encode Selected Audio Files"

Hi,

In the traditional Finder, it's possible to click on an audio file, right-click, services, "Encode Selected Audio Files"; the same feature is also avilable through the Finder's Service menu entry. This is useful to convert an audio file to MP3. As I do music editing, I do this frequently.

However, in Pathfinder, this "Encode Selected Audio Files" does not appear in the services sub-menu. I have all services but this one.

Any idea ?

BR,

Olivier

    Hi Olivier,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Is this a third-party service?
Services are contextual, some rely on the input (i.e. a file), while others rely on the specific app or even both. Path Finder will work with the services that simply require files as input, but the services, context of which is limited to Finder, will not be shown in Path Finder, unfortunately.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Jordan
