Inconsistency between Finder and PathFinder

As the attached screenshot shows, Finder indicates there are subfolders in my Time Machine backup folder. PathFinder shows no folders in the Time Machine backup folder. As I usually rely on PathFinder and seldom resort to Finder, this is concerning.

    Hi Eric,

As you may see, Path Finder does not have enough permissions to access these folders (indicated by a red warning badge). Which version of macOS and Path Finder are you running?

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

Thanks for the explanation, Jordan. I rarely use Finder. For some reason when I entered Time Machine day before yesterday nothing happened when I selected the backup I wanted to go back to. When I went to PathFinder to check the Time Machine database what I saw led me to believe that I’d lost all my Time Machine backups.

Later, when I thought to check the directory with Finder was I reassured that that was not the case. I was still puzzled about why Time Machine wasn’t working.

Since then, however, it has started working again. At least as of the last time I tried.

    Thanks again,

    Eric
