MVRP can’t be updated when it’s running from a read-only volume like a disk image or an optical drive. Move MVRP to your Applications folder, relaunch it from there, and try again.

I just installed an app named mvrp by copying the file from my downloads folder to Applications. If I attempt to upgrade the app I get the above error message. If I uninstall the app and do the transfer in Finder, the issue goes away. Let me add that this problem is not unique to mvrp as it has cropped up numerous times in numerous PF versions with numerous app files and under many versions of MacOS. I am currently running Mojave version 10.14.5 on a late 2013 Mac Pro.

    Hi Rich,

Could you please give us more details? Are you unable to move the app to Applications folder with Path Finder?

Have you added Path Finder to Full Disk Access list (System Preferences -> Security and Privacy -> Privacy -> Full Disk Access)?

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
    Path Finder Support Team
