File name Problem

I am using PF 7 and today noticed I am having a problem with some pdf files, in that the extension .pdf is not showing unless I highlight the file and try to rename it. Then it shows the .pdf, but as soon as I exit from renaming the file the .pdf extension disappears. Other existing pdf's don't have this issue. When I look at other pdf's in the Info panel it shows the file name with the extension for the older existing pdf's, but the newer pdf's have two file names listed - one with the extension and one without the extension. I can't find any way to fix this issue.

    Could you please open Get Info window (Command + I or Control+Click on file -> Get Info) and check that Hide Extension is not enabled in the attributes. If you'd like the extensions to be Always visible, please enable "Always show file extensions" in View -> Show View options.

    That seems to have been the issue. I wish all PF issues could easily. Thanks.
