I sent an email to support on 14th June about this but no response.

When I launch PF, I get a dialog stating that a Dropbox folder was found.
I click the Link button and an empty dialog appears.

    Hi Rob,

Which version of the macOS and Path Finder do you have installed?

Do you have the Dropbox app installed and running? Could you please send us the screenshot of the blank window (Command + Shift + 5 on macOS Mojave)?

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Rob,

May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article:
      http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
(The AppCleaner option is highly recommended)
    2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests

Note: your preferences will be reset.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

I followed these instructions. I still get the empty white box when attempting to link dropbox. I still get the lockup and spinning ball.

    Hi Rob, Ted,

I was beta testing that exact same issue - was haunting me on several versions - and though didn't have time to narrow down the exact cause, I managed to isolate it to an older config corruption. I can't remember which file but I ended up (as mentioned above) using AppCleaner (http://freemacsoft.net/), manually selecting all its linked files/directories (it doesn't select all of them automatically.. you ned to select the missing ones), deleting them all - followed by a clean install of PF 8.x.

Afterwards the Dropbox dialog should work again. However,

    1) You'll need to re-setup your modules / menus if you do this
    2) Honestly it's not worth it, since PF's dropbox API is an outdated one that doesn't provide all of the features the FinderSync Dropbox does (the native one you download).

I'd imagine they'd eventually clean up that part of the code, removing the old API and just sticking with what currently works via native app <> Finder. I'd advise you go for that approach instead -- https://www.dropbox.com/download?os=mac

    Hope this helps.
    Ta.

    Hi all,

Correct, that is why the reinstall was suggested.

However, while the API is indeed limited, I'd also like to add that we are working on a much better way to provide cloud integrations in Path Finder ;)

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.
