Image formatting within these Discussion Threads: Can I drag-drop images into my new thread compose window?

Images can increase user communication 100-fold, we all know this. But I have not been able to find out how to insert an image inline within the body of my Discussion Question post. All I see how to do is attach images that all display underneath the text post. Is there any way to move these images to make a Help Question post easier to illustrate?

Thank you.

    Hi Richard,

I'm afraid there is no drag-and-drop way to achieve this. However, you may embed inline images using the markdown syntax:
    ![Image Name](http://example.com/image.jpg): inline image

Jordan thanks. I will try that in future, but is this syntax possible in one's initial upload of an image attachment, or would I have to first POST a new discussion or comment, then go back and edit it, finding the URL for the image after it has posted to the server? Or is there a way to see the URL of an attached image before one hits the POST or COMMENT button?

    Hi Richard,

I'm afraid there is no way to embed the pictures uploaded as attachments before posting, sorry for the inconvenience.
