When I a compress a file (right click select compress) PF 8.5.4 opens a new tab with the same content as the original tab.
Nothing is duplicated, but the original tab is duplicated with the new compressed (zip) file.
Previous versions of PF didn't do this.

    Hi Chris,

Which version of macOS do you have installed?

Do you have "reveal Items after compression/expansion" enabled in Path Finder -> Preferences -> Features -> Compression? What is "Reveal in Path Finder" set to in Preferences -> Browser, "Open in new Tab"?

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

That setting fixed it. Thank you.
Why was that suddenly checked after an update when it had never been before?

    Hi Chris,

We've replaced our compression engine so some preferences might've reset.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.
