Sidebar always hides "Favorites" item list when quitting and restarting macOS

I have created and saved the settings for a sidebar in my PF8 windows, and customized the Favorites shown.

However, PF8 always hides the Favorites folder contents whenever I shut down the Mac and then restart the next day. Even when I click "Show" next to the title "Favorite," my Favorites do not show up at all. I have to actually reload the settings again using the Sidebar prefs, manually each time.

The settings have been saved using my own custom name. I wonder why this happens? It is a bit inconvenient to have to reload...

Please inform if there is a fix, or something I have not done correctly. Thank you!
