Still can't eject disks - PF quicklook UI using it. Also Blank Get info windows

I'm experiencing some persistent bugs across multiple updates. Namely that I can't normally eject a disk with pathfinder running. I get an error message noting that Pathfinder quicklook UI is using the disc, even if I've not opened any items via QL on that disk.

One or two times in ten it will eject and then it reverts back to regularly not ejecting disks.

The other issue is blank get info windows. It's been present across several versions as well, and hasn't changed. Same behavior whether or not it's accessed via a keyboard shortcut or contextual menu.

Behavior in the Finder is normal for both of these issues

    Hi Louis,

Regarding the blank window issue, which version of macOS and Path Finder do you have installed?

May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists:

    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article:
      http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
(The AppCleaner option is highly recommended)
    2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests

Note: Your preferences will be reset.

Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,

Sorry for the late reply. The above instructions worked for the blank info windows, thanks.

I still see the disk eject problem with PF 8.5.4 and OSX 10.14.5

    Hi Louis,

Do you get any error messages? Are you able to reproduce this issue? Does Finder eject work well?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Hi,
When attempting to eject a disk via PF, or when PF is running, I get a message window stating that the disk can't be ejected because PF quicklook is using it.

Still have to quit PF and then eject the external disk either via the Finder, or other utility.

    Hi Louis,

Could you send us a sample (a snapshot) of PathFinder process in a separate file - this will enable us to analyze what happens with the application. Here's how to get it:

    1. Open Path Finder and reproduce the problem (try ejecting the drive as the sample is collected).
    2. Open Activity Monitor from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
    3. Select Path Finder in the process list. To help making a selection, type "Path Finder" in the Filter field.
    4. Click the Sample Process button in the toolbar - this will open a new window entitled "Sample of Path Finder" and a sample of the process is collected.
    5. Click Save and save the sample file.
    6. Close (Command-W) the Sample window opened in step 2.
    7. Send the sample file saved in step 5 to us.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,
