Hello,

I just updated from 8.3.9 to 8.5.1 and I can't compress any files/folders.
I am using Mac OS 10.13.6 on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2018, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports).

I checked the settings -> Functions -> Compression -> Format: "ZIP" and even tried 7-ZIP or TAR.
Nothing is really happening and I get the message "Waiting to compress "--my-file--" to "(null)"" in the progress bar.

What can I do?

Thanks
Eike

    Hi Jordan,

that did the trick - thank you.

But: it seems like PF 8.5.3 creates a folder __MACOSX within the .zip archive while PF 8.3 didnt do that.
Is there any way to disable this behaviour?!

    Thanks
    Eike

    Hi Eike,

    Thanks for reporting this!

Does it still happen on Path Finder 8.5.4? Are any other archive formats affected?

    Looking forward to your reply.
