I have tried to move about 80 jpgs from old drive to to RAID. Gave up after 10 minutes.
Then tried to copy the files it was extremely slow.
Tried to copy another batch this time gave up waiting.

My system is a iMac Pro 27 with lots of power. Latest OS.

    Hi Jeffrey,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Which versions of Path Finder and macOS do you have installed? May I ask what filesystems are your source and target drives?

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

    Here's the results
Apple Finder move 80 pics in seconds
    Pathfinder - took eternity
System is iMac Pro 27 SSD to Drobo 5D3 via Thunderbolt

File sync function is too slow to use in duel pane mode. I get a preparing message and it just seems to sit there.

    Hi Jeffrey,

Is this still an issue on Path Finder 8.5.4?

Could you send us a sample (a snapshot) of PathFinder process during the transfer in a separate file? This will enable us to analyze what happens with the application. Here's how to get it:

    1. Open Path Finder and reproduce the problem.
    2. Open Activity Monitor from the /Applications/Utilities folder.
    3. Select Path Finder in the process list. To help making a selection, type "Path Finder" in the Filter field.
    4. Click the Sample Process button in the toolbar - this will open a new window entitled "Sample of Path Finder" and a sample of the process is collected.
    5. Click Save and save the sample file.
    6. Close (Command-W) the Sample window opened in step 2.
    7. Send the sample file saved in step 5 to us.

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,
    Jordan
