@Jordan - Apologies, the ticketing platform wouldn't allow me to reopen the ticket/discussion. Kindly find below as requested:

macOS: 10.14.5
Path Finder: 8.5 (1957)
Path: /Applications/Path Finder.app
Permissions: Admin user
Full Disk Access: Path Finder was not in the list, so I've added it. Unfortunately doesn't solve the problem.

Best regards,
Andy.

Andy, Full Disk Access: Path Finder was not in the list, so I've added it here too, but so far it does seem to have resolved the issue for me.

    Hi Andy,

Sorry for the inconvenience, you should be able to reply even to the closed discussion.

You may save your Sidebar preferences from the module settings (Gear icon to the left in the module header) - click on the list button at the bottom (which says "Settings") and Save Settings... Could you please see if the changes are retained that way?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,
    Jordan

I've created a profile so now it recognises me as the discussion originator. Hooray!

I can save my sidebar settings, but the default are displayed when Path Finder is relaunched. I can click the cog and enable my settings, but until 8.5 that wasn't necessary.

    Kindly see video attached...

PROBLEM SOLVED - There was a second Path Finder window open that was misbehaving as described. When it was closed, normal service resumed underneath (maybe from adding it to the Full Disk Access list).

    Thanks for your support.
