8.5 error copying files = bad address

I just upgraded from Path Finder 8 to 8.5 and now I am repeatedly encountering an error when copying a large file from a network drive (Time Capsule). "Error! An error occurred. Bad address". This only happens when copying a large file; small documents copy from the remote drive with no problem.

    Same error message started after upgrading.

    It happens when I attempt to copy a file large than 128KB from a USB 3.1 SSD to the system drive.

    Running v8.5 (1957) on 10.14.5 (18F132)

    Correction - the source file is on a SDHC memory card via USB 2 card reader.

    Thanks for your prompt response!

    I'd be happy running a beta version. I did software development for many years so I know it's impossible to catch every bug; happy to participate in real-life testing.

    You can download the beta here, or you can update your current copy to it, just hold alt/opt key while checking for updates and then follow the standard update procedure.
