I was finally, by random chance, able to add directories including FAVORITES to the taskbar on the of the panel. I am not sure what this is called ... i presume "taskbar" .... HOMEICON ....... MOVIES PICTURES DESKTOP APPLICATIONS are there already by default.

I would like to remove MOVIES and PICTURES from the taksbar to make room for other stuff. I may also want to remove directories i put there by mistake ..

HOW DO YOU REMOVE ICONS FROM THE TASKBAR ?

Thanks

It seems that you can simply drag them off the "taskbar" and dropping them on the desktop will cause them to be removed.

That's odd because it works for me. Which version of path finder are you using? I'm using 8.3.9.

    Hi Thomas,

Are all of your macs on High Sierra?

Are you referencing the Bookmarks Bar? It can be hidden from View -> Bookmarks Bar

Dragging the icons and directories off should work, except for the very last item. If it's not the case, May I ask you make a screen recording of the issue and send it to us, please?
To make a screen recording please follow the steps below:
    1. Launch Finder>Applications>Quick Time Player.
    2. Tray Menu>File>New Screen Recording.

I believe this is going to help us a lot! Looking forward to your reply.

    Best regards,
    Jordan
