PF8 Crashes Wipes Out Window Layout

Howdy,

I am a long time PF user who has a very particular layout for my windows (see attached).

When PF8 crashes (which does happen more regularly than I'd like) it frequently, but not always, wipes out my layout and I am forced to rebuild it with the Modules windows yet again.

This is super frustrating.

I am using 8.3.9 - but, this problem has happened with all of the 8.x revs that I've used.

Is there anything that I can do to save my layout so I can just pop it back into place? While it is true that it doesn't take long to get it back into place, it shifts my focus from my tasks to basically housekeeping.

Thank you for your attention on my dilemma!

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for messaging us!

Are you able to reproduce this? Could you please send us the crash reports?

Although it is not a supported method, you may try preserving the following items and later restore them:
/Users/your username here/Preferences/com.cocoatech.PathFinder.plist (file)  /Users/your username here/Application Support/Path Finder (directory and everything in it)

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,
