Finding files with matching content's Avatar

I can navigate to a folder in the main browser and select Find (For usability, I should be able to do this with context menu btw), and I can enter my search string with the control set to Content contains. When I execute it I get no results, yet I know that the strings I'm searching are contained in the files. If I add a trailing space to my search string, the result is every file in the folder - even if the search string is not in any file. I just want to search only files in a folder (and preferably sub-folders for matches, and I don't seem to be able to do this easily with PF or Finder. Am I missing something?

    Hi Ian,

    Sorry for the delayed reply!

We use macOS's Spotlight for the Find window, which is not always accurate with the search by content.

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,
