Excessive Memory Consumption

I am also seeing excessive memory consumption by Path Finder v8.3.9 on OSX 10.14.3. MBPro with 32GB RAM. OS is reporting that Path Finder is consuming 100-300 GB RAM (with swap file?), and it's draining the system of resources.

This does not happen immediately upon launch. 5m after launch I'm at 406MB for PF. I've seen this a few times when I return to my machine after being away several hours.

Please choose a .txt file, open Preview module preferences (gear button next to its header) and uncheck "Colorize syntax".

Also, it may be worth trying to restore defaults for View Settings (cmd+J).
Make sure to have "Calculate all sizes" unchecked here.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Let me know how it goes.

    Best Regards,
