Pathfinder 8 on Mac OS X using excessive RAM
On my Mac OS X 10.14.3 when Pathfinder is in idle mode it is generally using around 140MB of RAM. I have Pathfinder set up with 2 windows and do a major amount of file transfer / manipulations.
In the last 2 days I have found that on transfer of files from a USB drive (approx 2 files of 60-65MB each) RAM usage goes upto 6.5GB.
This means that with applications I have open all RAM is used (left with around 100MB) and applications freeze and I am forced to use the Mac 'force quit' function.
I am running QGIS 3.4 all the time and I am forced to restart the application.
I have run memory and diagnostics with no adverse results. I have also checked for any viruses, again with no adverse results.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem?
Thanks, Paul

Hi,
Please choose a .txt file, open Preview module preferences (gear button next to its header) and uncheck "Colorize syntax".
Also, it may be worth trying to restore defaults for View Settings (cmd+J).
Make sure to have "Calculate all sizes" unchecked here.
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.
Best Regards,

Team,
Already did that before writing to you. Didn’t fix the issue. What’s next?
Kind regards,
Marc
