I came from total commander backgroup. I typically have dual panes with preset tab set on each pane.

Is there anyway that whenever I start path finder, it always have the preset tab set on each pane?

or any shortcut that I can set that will revert to the preset tabs on each panel?

is there a way to lock the tab? (similar to total commander)

    Hi,

    Thanks for reaching us!

You may save the currently opened tabs in File -> Tabs -> Save set and then load these sets. The set is loaded individually for each pane.

Saved sets can be assigned a shortcut from Path Finder -> Preferences -> Features tab -> Keyboard section.
There, navigate to File -> Tabs -> your set name and set the shortcut.

Could you please provide a bit more details on "locking" the tab? Do you mean something similar to "pin tab" in web browsers?

Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

Yes similar to pin tab. In total commander, when you pin/lock a tab, and if you click a sub directly in that locked tab, it will open in a new tab instead of current tab. which I think it is super useful.
