I'd like to know if it's possible to print the top level of the files/folders that comprise a folder's contents. I have a need to enter a large number of file names into a database or spreadsheet so if it's possible to print such a list in "csv" or other delimited lists that can be exported into Numbers, that would be most excellent. I have an app called "Print Window" that will print to PDF a simple list but extracting the file names (cutting/pasting) can be time consuming so here's hoping a "print to CSV" option is available.

thanks!

    In Path Finder:
    1. navigate to the folder you want to get the list of
    2. select all the items you want listed
    3. go to the Path Finder Edit menu and select "Copy Path"
    4. paste into another app (I generally paste into TextWrangler or BBedit first and then copy from there into my final destination)

There are several choices for the format of the path. Experiment to determine which you want.

    Hey Jake,

    Cool!

After trying the different options under Copy Path, I decided that Edit > Copy Path > Name was the way to go.

Now it will take just a few minutes of massaging this list and I can import it into Bento.

Thanks for the very helpful advice,
