Preview Module Problem

Continuing from problem titled "Preview of .txt and .zip not the same since upgrade from 7.6.2 to 8.3.8", I have found that directories with many files in (900+ in my case), takes a good 30+ seconds to update the Preview Module window. If there is more than 1 Preview Module there is a delay between the update of each window and the CPU activity rises noticeably with the Path Finder process top of the list in the activity monitor. This seems to be the case for all files/directories and not just .txt and .zip files.

    Hi Paul,

Please choose a .txt file, open Preview module preferences (gear button next to its header) and uncheck "Colorize syntax".

Also, it may be worth trying to restore defaults for View Settings (cmd+J).
Make sure to have "Calculate all sizes" unchecked here.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Please feel free to write us back and we will be happy to assist you.

    Best Regards,

Unchecking "colorize syntax" seems to have sorted it out (so far). Didn't need to restore View Settings. I'll let you know if the problem re-occurs.

    Thanks
