Pathfinder 8.3.8 opens with empty window and nothing works.

Since upgrading to version 8.3.8 (1923) all I see when I start the app is an empty window. See attached screenshot

    Hi Julian, 

    May I ask you to follow the instruction and check if the issue still persists: 

    1. Delete Path Finder and its traces according to the article: 
      http://support.cocoatech.com/kb/installation-and-compatibility/how-...
    2. Download the latest version of the app from our site
    3. Launch Path Finder and move it to the Apps folder as the app suggests

    I don't have version 6 or 7. I have version 8 installed. There is nothing
    at that link about version 8. Do the version 6 and 7 instructions still
    apply even though I have version 8?

    Hi,

    I had the same problem in version 8.3.9, and after deleting all the files noted for version 6 and 7, then downloading PathFinder 8 again, it worked!
    By the way, the process of completely delete Path Finder is complex and a little bit dangerous. You could perhaps write a little script to do that?

    Have you tried the AppCleaner option? It's quite efficient.

    We're also working on updates which should reduce the general need to reinstall PathFinder.
